Grapefruit Guacamole Salsa recipe


1 med red onion diced.
1 tablespoon of olive oil.
1 teaspoon of brown sugar.
1 large pink grapefruit.
1 jalapeño, minced.
1 garlic clove, minced.
1 small ripe avocado peeled, pitted and diced.
3 tablespoons of fresh cilantro, minced.
2 tablespoons of grapefruit juice.
1 tablespoon of lime juice.
¼ teaspoon of salt.


In a small saucepan over medium heat, sauté onion in the olive oil until tender and beginning to turn lightly golden.

Stir in the sugar and sauté until glistening. Place in a bowl.

Halve the grapefruit and section as if eating fresh.

Remove the grapefruit sections and chop.

Add the grapefruit sections and all other ingredients to the bowl. Toss lightly.

Allow to rest so that the flavors can mingle.

Serve with fajitas or nachos.
